The company's global experience extends our expertise to some of the most remote and challenging parts of the world, our full-time office team here in the UK are able to provide you with a high level of personal service. We are not the biggest schools expedition provider, but we are most accessible. From your first contact with us, you will be dealing with the people who are intimately involved with the provision of your expedition or course. Here are some of the key people:

Mike Rosser Adventureworks Manager // Mike is a former teacher and lecturer with over 25 years' experience of PE, outdoor education and organising overseas expeditions. Mike is a qualified Mountaineering Instructor (MIC) and has overall responsibility for the quality of our expedition and course delivery.

Tom Briggs Director // Tom is responsible for developing and improving Adventureworks' services. He is a very experienced all round climber and 'new router' and has travelled extensively throughout the world, on expeditions from Greenland to Nepal. n 2008, he climbed Scottish VIII in Glencoe, WI5 in La Grave, E9 and Font 7c+ in the Peak District, F8a+ in Gorges du Tarn, as well as summiting Denali (6,194m) in Alaska. Most recently, he has been Ski Mountaineering in the Gran Paradiso National Park, led a Jagged Globe team to the summit of Kilimanjaro and trekked around Kangchenjunga.

Chris Reid Sales and Marketing Coordinator // Chris is a former teacher who moved to Sheffield in 2004. His interest in outdoor sports has allowed him to travel all over the world, having snowboarded extensively in the Alps, Norway and New Zealand. He can also be seen careering down the hills in the Peak District and further afield on his mountain bike. Chris is an enthusiastic climber; his love for the rocks has taken him to many different locations both in the U.K and abroad. He will still argue that the crags on his home patch, the west coast of Ireland, are amongst the best anywhere!

Simon Lowe Managing Director // Simon trained as an outdoor education teacher and has over 25 years' experience organising and leading expeditions. He is a qualified Mountaineering Instructor and started his exploration of the world's mountains whilst serving as an officer in the British Army. He led some of our first expeditions for youth groups, including a Scout group to Stok Kangri, a 6,000m peak in Ladakh, India in 1990.

Claire Carter Operations and Marketing Coordinator // Claire has just finished a Masters in Poetry at the University of East Anglia where despite a somewhat flat locality, she ran an enthusiastically attended climbing club, leading students up rock and ice as well as to national climbing competitions. Now living Sheffield, Claire organises and markets Adventureworks expeditions, and gets out in the Peak, with as much enthusiasm. Claire is also an avid ski mountaineer, though when she is not climbing or skinning up hills, she likes to cycle up them (on her hardy Dawes Audax) to explore new crags around the world.

Matt Parkes Operations Manager // Responsible for operations for both Jagged Globe and Adventureworks, Matt is also a regular expedition leader. His background is mountaineering and he has led a number of expeditions to Tanzania, Nepal and India. Recently Matt took part in an attempt on the unclimbed SE (Integrale) Ridge of Makalu, the world's 5th highest mountain.

Claire Prosser Operations Assistant // Claire has been able to combine her passions for skiing, mountaineering, orienteering and mountain biking with extensive travel throughout Europe, Asia and Australasia. She has experience of leading youth expeditions and has combined this in the past with teaching work in language schools.
