Season – December - April
Duration– 21-28 day expeditions
Expeditions to Chile experience a country of huge contrasts, ranging from the world's driest deserts in the North to the snow capped peaks of the South.
Upon arrival in Santiago it is soon time to get away from the busy streets and head down south to the Lake District of Chile. An overnight bus journey on a to Pucón - Chile's tourism adventure capital will mark the start of the adventure. River rafting, canopy rides, hiking in the local national parks and the ascent of the volcano, Villarrica, are the reason a visit to Pucón is a must. Trekking through the Huerquehue National Park past blue lakes, fjords and glaciers emphasise this country of contrasts.
There are also opportunities to visit a local community to experience their way of life and meet young people, visit the metropolitan city of Santiago or ride the funicular railway to view the stunning Andean Mountains.
