We offer a range of expeditions, multi-activity courses and Alpine mountaineering courses in France and Switzerland. These include treks and climbing in the Mont Blanc Massif, expeditions in the gentler hills of the French Pyrenees, as well as adventures in the Ecrin or Maritime Alps, near Orpierre. Each area is also suitable for undertaking a Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition.
Tour de Mont Blanc
The Tour de Mont Blanc is one of the great walks of the Alps. The whole traverse can be completed in about 12 days or sections of the route can be included as part of another expedition, to make up a more varied itinerary.
The Haute Route
The high level traverse of the Western Alps from Chamonix to Zermatt is one of the world's great mountaineering journeys. Students need basic crampon and ice axe skills.
Alpine Introductory Skills
Each summer, we run Alpine Courses for groups who wish to develop the skills to tackle some of our more challenging mountaineering expeditions. These courses take place in Arolla, Switzerland and are staffed by our British Mountain/IFMGA Guides.
Orpierre
We run multi-activity weeks from our base in the French village of Orpierre, Provence. The surrounding area has superb climbing, via ferratas, mountain biking, rafting and gorge walks.
The French Pyrenees
Our expeditions to the Pyrenees can be designed with day treks or a journey of two to four days, staying in mountain huts or camping. Activities that can be included in your programme are rock climbing, canyoning, mountain biking, rafting and horse riding.
You can see photo's from previous expeditions in our photo galleries for France, Switzerland or France and Switzerland and also read about previous expeditions in our trip reports.
