Mongolia is a country of vast open spaces, extraordinary light, superb mountains and a vibrant nomadic culture which is surprisingly rarely visited. The mountain scenery is breathtaking, but it is often the warm welcome from the local people that leaves the most lasting memory.
Both trekking and mountaineering options are avaliable in this magnificent setting. Mountaineering expeditions camp besides the Potaniin Glacier, before making forays up the Alexander Glacier to climb a sister peak of Mt Snow Church on the Chinese border, then up the Potaniin glacier to climb Mt Nairandal and Mt Khuiten. Trekking options explore the valleys surrounding Mt Kharkhiraa.
Our itineraries offer the opportunity to experience life with these nomadic people, meet a Bayan - Olgii hunter and his trained Golden Eagles and ride the native Mongolian horses. There are also options to take camel rides through the Gobi Desert and meet local children.
