Norway, 3 kbSeason – June - September
Duration– 14 days expeditions

Arctic Norway stretches over 500km from the Arctic Circle to Nordkapp. This expedition takes place almost completely in the area of Finnmark around the Fjords and icecaps of the Loppa Peninsula. This region has been populated for over 10,000 years, originally by the Sami who lived from fishing and reindeer herding.

The expedition will start in the fjord of Kvaenangen, paddling North to Jokelfjorden, where we meet the ice cap and leaving the boats and walk onto the ice cap of Oksfordjokeln. After crossing the ice cap, taking some peaks in on the way, we descend to Nuvsvag for a to meet the local people. We will then return to Alta and take a trip to mainland Europe's most northerly point at Knivsjelloddeen 71°, hopefully with the added bonus of doing this in the midnight sun.

An exciting expedition in Arctic conditions enables the development of ice axe and crampon skills as well as paddling skills.
