For those seeking adventure in rugged but beautiful settings, within easy travelling distance of the UK, Spain is a superb destination. There are options for all seasons of the year, from trekking in the Spanish Pyrenees, to multi activities in the Picos de Europa or Costa Blanca.
The foothills of the Pyrenees are rich and densely forested with beech and pine, dissected by cascading rivers and streams that work their way through narrow valleys. Treks in the Pyrennes are particularly suitable for groups who would like to fulfil the Expedition Section of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
In the Picos de Europa, we offer seven to fourteen day multi-activity expeditions, which include day-treks and overnight expeditions. Previous groups have taken part in activities such as climbing, caving, canyoning and mountain biking. Finally, the Costa Blanca has emerged as one of the premier rock climbing venues in Spain, with lots of crags that are suitable for teaching single pitch climbing. There are also excellent mountain walks, scrambles and canyon descents in the area.
