"A crazy and wonderful night in Marrakech. A mix of snake charmers, monkeys and bartering made for a particularly bizarre evening."

Tanzania, 5 kbSeason – Year round
Duration– 10 - 16 day expeditions

Tanzania is home to the extinct volcano of Kilimanjaro, which at 5,895m is the highest point in Africa and a popular challenge for trekking groups. Tanzania also has some of Africa's best-known game reserves, so there is the opportunity for teams to relax at the end of their expedition with a few days on safari. Adventureworks/ Jagged Globe has been running expeditions to Kilimanjaro since 1988 and has an enviable track record of successful ascents. Our itinerary can include an acclimatisation ascent of Mount Meru (4,556m), before you set foot on Kilimanjaro. This strategy is fundamental to a safe, successful and enjoyable climb of Kilimanjaro itself. We offer three routes on Kilimanjaro, which we feel get the most out of the mountain: the Lomosho Glades route, the Southern Circuit or the Rongai Route. The Lomosho Glades route has a very steady ascent profile and therefore there is no need to make the ascent of Mount Meru.

Kilimanjaro can be climbed all year round and both route itineraries fit into a two-week time slot. Most expeditions are 'summit focused', though we can also arrange a trek around the mountain. We have links with local schools in nearby Moshi and can build a project into your programme.
