Adventureworks and Jagged Globe support our leaders (29th Nov)
Adventureworks and Jagged Globe has continued its long-standing support of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) last weekend at Plas Y Brenin in North Wales and the British Association of International Mountain Leaders (BAIML) at Glenmore Lodge in Scotland.
The AMI annual event was a chance for training, networking and updating skills for Mountaineering Instructors UK-wide. As part of this event Jagged Globe sponsored Dr Chris Imray to run a 3 hour workshop on altitude related illness and prevention.
Our team also supported to BAIML conference recently in Scotland. Here Matt Parkes held a workshop on communications whilst Mike spoke about incident management.
Many insturctors (110 at the AMI)attended the event, many of who are regular leaders and instructors for the company.
Meet Adventureworks and Jagged Globe (23rd Nov)
We are hosting a Christmas mulled-wine and mince pie evening at Jagged Globe HQ in Sheffield on Wednesday 19 December (5pm - 9pm). Everyone is welcome, so please come along.
On the evening, we will also have a prize draw in aid of the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG). Tickets cost £10 each and the prizes are as follows:
1st Prize - *A week-long Scottish Winter Course
1nd Prize - *A 3-day Scottish Long Weekend
3rd Prize - A Peak District 2-day Rock Weekend
Tickets are available from Adventureworks/Jagged Globe. Please send a cheque payable to "Jagged Globe Ltd" to the usual address (write "IPPG" on the back) or pay on the night. You do not have to attend to take part. The winners will be announced on the 19 December during the evening and then published on this website.

New Iceland itinerary (22nd Nov)
We have now created a new Iceland itinerary. The expedition can be tailored to 8-21 days, trekking through the fjords, glacial lakes and mountains of the volcanic island.

Teacher familiarisation weekend (12th Nov)
This weekend we held our weekend for teachers already booked on an Adventureworks expedition or those thinking of doing so.
The programme included medical workshops, information on fundraising, fitness for teams and team building ideas.
On Sunday everyone enjoyed a beautiful day our in the Peaks either climbing, caving or mountain biking.
We will be holding another event in the new year so look out for details.
